12-6. AIR CLEANER DUST CAP MAINTENANCE

1.
Remove four screws (5) and dust unloader cover plate (4) from air cleaner bracket (6).
2.
Remove clamp (2) and air cleaner dust cap (3) from air cleaner assembly (1).

Equipment Condition
Hood raised and secured (TM 9-2320-280-10).
b. Inspection
1.
Install dust cap (3) on air cleaner assembly (1) with clamp (2). Tighten clamp (2) to 45-50 lb-in.
(5-6 Nm).
2.
Install dust unloader cover plate (4) on air cleaner bracket (6) with four screws (5).
FOLLOW-ON TASK: Lower and secure hood (TM 9-2320-280-10).

c. Installation
Inspect air cleaner dust cap (3) for cuts, tears, obstructions, or enlarged gap. Replace if cut, torn, worn,
missing, or if center opening exceeds 0.125 in. (3.18 mm).
