Equipment Condition
Engine access cover removed (para. 10-22).
Maintenance Level

1.
Remove nine screws (81, two capscrews (61, washers (5), and plenum (7) from A-beam (4).
2.
Disconnect connector (23) from light switch (10).
3.
Remove two locknuts (25), washers (111, capscrews (121, and washers (11) from instrument
panel (9) and firewall (24). Discard locknuts (25).
4.
Remove nut (201, washer (181, capscrew (171, and washer (18) from panel (91, hand throttle
bracket (15), and steering column bracket (19).
5.
Remove nut (13), screw (161, and hand throttle bracket (15) from instrument panel (9).
6.
Remove screw (14) from panel (9) and firewall (24) and pull panel (9) away from A-beam (4) for
access to heat flex duct (1).
7.
Loosen clamp (2) and remove heat flex duct (1) from A-beam (4) and plenum bracket (3).
8.
Loosen clamp (22) and remove heat flex duct (1) from steering column mount (21).

Install heat flex duct (1) on steering column mount (21) and tighten clamp (22).
Install heat flex duct (1) on A-beam (4) and plenum bracket (3) and tighten clamp (2).
Place panel (9) on A-beam (4). Install panel (9) to firewall (24) with screw (14).
Install panel (9) and hand throttle bracket (15) on steering column bracket (19) with washer (IS),
capscrew (171, washer (181, and nut (20).
Install hand throttle bracket (15) on instrument panel (9) with screw (16) and nut (13).
Install panel (9) on firewall (24) with two washers (111, capscrews (12), washers (111, and
locknuts (25).
7.
Connect connector (23) to light switch (10).
8.
Install plenum (7) on A-beam (4) with nine screws (81, two washers (51, and capscrews (6).
