l Hood raised and secured (TM 9-2320-387-10X
l Engine access cover removed (para. 10-22).

1.
Remove ten screws (5), retainer (6), and closeout panel (41 from A-beam (3).
2.
Remove three nuts (111, washers (B), capscrews (71, and washers (8) from three clamps (9), cable
clamp (lo), closeout panel (4), and A-beam (3).
3.
Remove three screws (12) from closeout panel (4) and A-beam (3).
4.
Disconnect left flex duct (2) from left defroster nozzle (1).
5.
Remove four screws (18) and diverter cover (17) from A-beam (3).
6.
Disconnect right flex duct (141 from right defroster nozzle (131.
7.
Loosen two clamps (151 and disconnect left flex duct (2) and right flex duct (14) from diverter
housing (16).

b. Installation
1.
Connect left flex duct (2) and right flex duct (141 to diverter housing (16) and tighten two clamps (15).
2.
Apply adhesive sealant and connect right flex duct (14) to right defroster nozzle (13).
3.
Install diverter cover (17) on A-beam (3) with four screws (18).
4.
Apply adhesive and connect left flex duct (2) to left defroster nozzle (11.
5.
Install retainer (6) and closeout panel (4) on A-beam (3) with ten screws (5).
6.
Secure closeout panel (41 to A-beam (3) with three screws (12).
7.
Install three clamps (9), cable clamp (lo), and closeout panel (4) on A-beam (3) with three
washers (81, capscrews (71, washers (81, and nuts (11).
