task.

CAUTION
Cover or plug all open lines and connections immediately aRer
disconnection to prevent contamination. Remove ail plugs prior to
connection.
a. Rear Lines Removal

Remove two locknuts (321, washers (331, capscrews (4), and washers (5) from four retaining clamps (6)
and cooler lines (7) and (31). Discard locknuts (32).
Loosen two clamps (1) and disconnect hoses (2) from transfer case (34).
NOTE
Have drainage container ready to catch fluid.
Loosen clamps (16) and (19) and disconnect hoses (15) and (20) from lines (17) and (18) and allow
fluid to drain.
Loosen clamps (22) and (24) and disconnect hoses (21) and (29) from bypass valve (23).
Disconnect lines (7) and (8) from transmission (30).
Remove lines and hoses as an assembly from vehicle.
Loosen two clamps (3) and remove hoses (2) from lines (7) and (31). Remove two clamps (1) and (3)
from hoses (2).
Loosen hose clamps (12), (14), (25), (261, (27), and (28).
Remove hose (9) from line (31) and tee (10). Remove two clamps (28) from hose (9).
Remove hose (11) from line (8) and tee (13). Remove clamps (12) from hose (11).
Remove hoses (15) and (20) from tees (10) and (13). Remove clamps (141, (161, (191, and (26) from
hoses (15) and (20).
Remove hoses (21) and (29) from tees (10) and (13). Remove clamps (221, (241, (25), and (27) from
hoses (21) and (29).
