Equipment Condition
Rear end of cargo shell door raised
(TM 9-2320-280-10).
General Safety Instructions
s Do not attempt to remove gas cylinders from
Spring rods.
l One assistant will be required to hold the cargo
door open when either one or both gas springs
are being removed or installed.
NOTE
“ Prior to starting any maintenance, ensure forward end of cargo
shell door is locked.
“ A 2 x 4 x 79.25 inch long board can used to support cargo door
in the open position.
1. Remove cargo shell door strap (para. 11-22).
2. Remove cargo shell door retention cable (para. 11-20).
3. Secure rear cargo door (1) in full open position.
