Equipment Condition
Rear end of cargo shell door raised
(TM 9-2320-280-10).
General Safety Instructions
s Do not attempt to remove gas cylinders from
Spring rods.
l One assistant will be required to hold the cargo
door open when either one or both gas springs
are being removed or installed.
NOTE
Prior to starting any maintenance, ensure forward end of cargo
shell door is locked.
A 2 x 4 x 79.25 inch long board can used to support cargo door
in the open position.
1. Remove cargo shell door strap (para. 11-22).
2. Remove cargo shell door retention cable (para. 11-20).
3. Secure rear cargo door (1) in full open position.
