Cut aluminum sheet metal to size as shown.
Locate, mark, and drill two 0.193-in. diameter holes in protective shield (1).
Locate, mark, and drill three 0.203-in. diameter holes in protective shield (1).
Make two 0.50-in. relief cuts in sides of protective shield (1).
5. Bend edges (90° bend along dotted lines) on protective shield (1).
Remove all burrs and sharp edges.
Paint protective shield (1) as required. Refer to TM 43-0139.
