15 14. OIL PUMP DRIVE REPLACEMENT

Equipment Condition
l Battery ground cables disconnected (para. 4-68).
l Turbocharger removed (para. 15-21).
Maintenance Level

NOTE
Prying may be performed around head of oil pump drive to assist
in loosening oil pump drive for removal.
1. Remove capscrew’(2) and clamp (3) from engine cylinder block (4).
2.
Remove oil pump drive (1) and gasket (5) from engine cylinder block (4). Discard gasket (5).
Install gasket (5) and oil pump drive (1) in engine cylinder block (4).
Secure oil pump drive (1) to engine cylinder block (4) with clamp (3) and capscrew
capscrew (2) to 25-37 lb-ft (34-50 N-m).
(2). Tighten
FOLLOW-ON TASKS: l Install turbocharger (para. 15-21).
l Connect battery ground cables (para. 4-68).
