bare hands.

Do not touch hot exhaust system components with bare hands. Severe
injury may result.

1. Remove three locknuts (9), washers (61, capscrews (51, and washers (6) from tailpipe (1) and mufIler (7).
Discard locknuts (9).
2.
Remove two nuts (31, lockwashers (41, and U-bolt (10) from tailpipe (1) and hanger (2). Discard lockwashers
(4).
3.
Remove tailpipe (1) and gasket (8) from mufIler (7). Discard gasket (8).
