They   are supposed    to  give   you   some   simple   checks   before you   try  to  change   a  wiring   harness   that   may   be ~. 1 r TEST   OPTIONS: El-zz- BAlTERY VOLTAGE   AT PIN  F OF PROTECTIVE CONTROL   BOX BODY CONNECTOR? Make   sure  that  what   you   want  to  be  on  is supposed    to  be  on.    Check   the ; DS  maintenance t switches    (lights,   high-low    beam,   etc.). i (chapter    18). I I : 1   2.   Check   the  socket   and   connection(s)     for  corrosion,   cracks,   or  loose   parts. Repair   or  replace   any   damaged    components. i I : I I ;    3. Try   replacing    the  bulb   that   doesn’t   work   with  a  bulb  that   you   know   works. I i i    4.   If  the  connections     look   good   and   a  known   good   bulb  doesn’t    work,   you   have ^: ; I I to  start   checking    voltage    and  continuity. : I : I I : 1 a) Check   for  battery    voltage    (STEXE-R TEST   89,  Page   2-506)   at  the I : I light  socket;   there   may  be  a  fault   in the  wiring   harness. : I I I b) Check   for  continuity     to  ground   (STWICE-R    TEST   91,  Page   2-508) I : i _I from  the  light  socket;   there   may   be  a  missing   connection     to  ground. i I I I ^I I 1 c) Go  to  the  wiring   diagram(s)    for  more  help.
