NOTE
Work area should be well-ventilated, clean, and free from blowing
dirt and dust.
va.Disassembly
1. Remove spring retainer (4) and piston (3) from pin (1).
2.
Remove seal (2) from piston (3).

Clean all components in accordance with para. 2-14.
vc.Inspectionl
1. Inspect front servo piston (3) for cracks and broken seal groove. Replace if damaged.
2.
Inspect piston pin (1) for cracks, bends, and damaged snapring groove. Replace if damaged.
3.
Inspect spring (5) for breaks and distortion. Replace if damaged.

1. Coat seal (2) with transmission fluid (Dexron@ III) and install seal (2) on piston (3).
2.
Install pin (11 on piston (3) and secure with spring retainer (4).
