To test the shocks and springs, drive the vehicle
over a variety of terrain. If the vehicle continues
to bounce after hitting a bump, the shocks may
be worn. If the vehicle bottoms out on the
suspension, the shocks may be worn. If the
vehicle sags when loaded, the springs may be
worn. If the shock absorber bodies are not warm
after driving the vehicle, the shocks are no good.
