TRANSMISSION TEMPERATURE SENSOR
The Transmission Temperature Sensor (ITS) is a thermistor. The resistance decreases
temperature increases. At 68°F (2O”C), the resistance should be from 2,980 to 4,020 ohms. At 248°F
(12O”C), the resistance should be 90 to 111 ohms.
RESISTANCE TOO LOW

Disconnect transmission connector
from transmission. Check continuity
from Jl pin e to Jl pin c.
Repair short from wire 923P
to wire 359A/B/C/D
(para. 4-80).
