HOURMETER IS NOT FUNCTIONING
Step 1.
Start engine (TM 9-2320-280-10) and let engine come to
normal idle speed of 650 RPM (± 25 RPM).
Step 2.
Check hourmeter after 6 minutes.
If hourmeter advances 1/10 of an hour, procedure is
completed.
If hourmeter fails to advance 1/10 of an hour, go to
step 3.
Step 3.
Remove tach/hourmeter box cover.
Check hourmeter leads
for tight connections.
Tighten leads as necessary.
Replace tach/hourmeter
box cover and repeat Step 2.
If hourmeter fails to advance 1/10 of an hour, replace
hourmeter (para 3-19).
END OF TESTING
